Easy’ is the name of an EA business unit located in the DICE offices in Stockholm, dedicated to developing and operating free-to-play titles. It currently operates Battlefield Heroes, Battleforge and Lord of Ultima. EAsy is now expanding the development team with a Web/UX Designer.
Responsibilities:
• Design visually compelling web interfaces that are easy to use and fun
• Create wireframes and graphic mockups based on high level requirements
• Collaborate with developers to convert designs into working code. Expert-level HTML/CSS skills are a big a plus
• Analyze existing sites to find areas that need to be improved upon
Experience/Education
• Demonstrated (via portfolio) ability to create great looking, highly usable websites
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and any HTML authoring tool
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools
• Experience gathering and documenting business and user interface requirements
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, Javascript
• Passion for video games
Although this is a design role, we are a small team. The ideal candidate will be well-rounded in the skills required to create a great web experience. It’s a big plus if you can also demonstrate skills in other areas such as:
• Interface copywriting (in English)
• Collecting and using data as a part of the design process (web usage data, usability studies, AB tests etc…)
• Web development
• Flash development
Personal qualities of importance
• Opinionated, with a strong sense of design and aesthetics
• Able to explain and advocate for those opinions in a multi-disciplinary team
